Have 15 minutes to be whisked away to Deauville, France circa 1913? Karl Lagerfeld’s short film starring Keira Knightley as Coco Chanel has just dropped, and we have every dreamy minute of it right here. Sure, some of the “actors” the house tapped aren’t exactly going to be up for an Oscar anytime soon, but who needs a statuette when you’ve got clothes like these?
In the film, called Once Upon A Time, Knightley dons thick brows and a white ensemble far more formal than the one she wore to say “I Do” this past weekend, and keeps shop while elegant clientele like Lindsey Wixson, Stella Tennant, and Caroline de Maigret muse over the chapeaux. And while the actress does a decent job in the starring role, the real star, as predicted, is Brad Koenig’s four-year-old son Hudson, who’s had some practice stealing attention away from the brand’s major models in his many turns on the Chanel catwalk.
The film will be screened in Singapore tomorrow at the resort 2014 show, but for those of you not making the trip, you can catch the whole thing right here:
