The O-Shot, a female answer to Viagra, is gaining traction as word spreads of its pleasure-inducing powers. It’s one of the most promising ailments for female sexual dysfunction and fills a void that doctors have thought to be too long ignored.
According to Harper’s BAZAAR, the new treatment extracts PRP (platelet-rich plasma) from a woman’s own blood and injects it directly into the vaginal area, where it stimulates the growth of new cells and increases sensitivity to stimulation. BAZAAR sought the expertise of Charles Runels, creator of the Kim Kardashian-approved Vampire Facial), who believes that the 20 minute in-office treatment will boost the sex lives of women everywhere.
In the week following treatment, patients will experience an “immediate volumizing effect,” which lasts up to a week. However, according to Runels, the kickback comes over time as the PRP “stimulates the stem cells, collagen, and blood vessels.” The overall effect should last at least 18 months.
