Ever since her gorgeous fall campaign for the French fashion house, we decided that Michelle Williams and Louis Vuitton were a lethal combination. Last night, the actress backed our theory proving that her alabaster skin is all the more striking against an LBD at the Whitney Museum of American Art Gala & Studio Party.
But it wasn’t just Williams going back to black, with Dianna Agron, Zoe Kravitz, and Lake Bell all donning fashion’s favorite color — was this an homage to Marc Jacobs’ dark Louis Vuitton swang song? Even when attendees veered from the gothic trend, it was all about neutrals (except for Hannah Bronfman’s awesomely-blue eyebrows!) — like Riley Keough in a gleaming cream blazer, Lily Kwong in a chamgpagne midi coat dress, and The Man Repeller herself Leandra Medine in white-on-white-on-white. All in all, we’ve learned a valuable lesson in monochrome minimalism. See every look, below.
