Another day, another royal wedding. Okay, maybe these awesome events aren’t exactly daily occurrences, but we’re still coming off the high from that last one. Today Zara Phillips, daughter to Prince Anne and first cousin to Prince William, married her longtime boyfriend Mike Tindall.
And it seemed like a lovely affair! Of course, the whole royal crew was there — Queen Elizabeth, Princes William and Harry, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Kate Middleton/Duchess Catherine/we never know what exactly to call her. That said, the nuptials were much more low-key than Kate and William’s. The decorated equestrian and her rugby player fiance wed at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh.
Zara wore an ivory silk gown designed by Stewart Parvin, and while it didn’t have lace sleeves (our favorite, duh), it was not strapless! Hurrah! Zara also donned an ultra-long veil and a tiara. As expected, all of the lady attendees wore hats and the dudes wore morning coats. And because we know you’re dying for deets, Kate opted a champagne-colored brocade dress coat paired with her favorite nude pumps and a floral pancake hat (at least that’s what we’re calling it). So, no, she was not a bridesmaid. Sigh.
And here is your visual guide to the big day:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
