Before he became Zombie Boy, Rick Genest was just a white Canadian guy with no tattoos. And for those of us who weren’t around to see his skin unadorned, photographer Matthew Lyn gave us a glimpse at what he might have looked like for Schön magazine.
Call it an example of Photoshop used in a cool way, but Lyn took images of Zombie Boy, muse to Nicola Formichetti and friend to Lady Gaga, wearing everything from rag & bone, John Galliano and James Long, then wiped the tattoos on portions of his face away. It’s a pretty cool effect, no? Take a look at the photos and tell us what you think.
