Bedbugs Love Shopping At Abercrombie Brands
Maybe it’s the eye-burning fragrance Abercrombie and its sister stores air through their vents that’s attracting their newest type of shopper — the bedbug — to their stores.
Earlier this week, we reported that the Hollister’s Soho store (which happens to be just a skip away from our Styleite offices) closed down shop because of a severe bedbug infestation. Gross. Puka shell necklace wearers rejoiced when they found out Hollister would be reopening at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, but were immediately thrown for a loop when yet another store was shut down, this time parent company Abercrombie & Fitch’s South Street Seaport locale.
Abercrombie is now seeking the advice of the Mayor’s office to figure out how to best manage the infestations. It comes as no surprise to us that the company’s shares have dropped 2% already. After all, no one wants to be bugged while shopping.
