PHOTOS: BryanBoy’s New Collab Is Not For The PC Or Color-Phobic
Before the madness of New York Fashion Week really begins later this week, we took a trip down to the Mondrian Hotel this morning to check out the goods BryanBoy designed with fur maven Adrienne Landau. From rabbit fur bow ties in every color of the rainbow to over-the-top fox fur camera straps (yes, really), this is a collection that’s sure to be snapped up by style bloggers and, naturally, piss off PETA in the meantime.
“The idea for the camera straps came from carrying one around all day,” the blogger told us while taking us on a mini-tour around the sunny space. “I wanted something fun that didn’t have someone’s logo on it.” But while they may not have had any brand markings, they still managed to have BryanBoy’s signature flamboyant style all over them.
The rabbit fur versions were the smaller and relatively sensible version of the style, coming in practically every shade of the rainbow, from lilac to cherry red to grass green. The larger fox version, meanwhile, was displayed in three neutral shades, and, even if we’re usually partial to faux, we won’t pretend we didn’t find ourselves wishing we had one cozy pieces to wrap around us on the blustery walk back to the office.
As for whether we’ll be seeing the blogger rocking his merch around Lincoln Center this week, he deferred to Landau’s team. “I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get a hold of the samples since the sales people will need them, too,” he exclaimed. “I’m a business lady now!”
