High-Quality Workout Clothes You Can Actually Afford
Cory Vines is a new start-up that is trying to be “the Warby Parker of gym clothes.” That means they’re an online retailer that aims to offer super high-quality products that won’t be wildly cheap, but also won’t be as expensive as their competitiors.
All the clothes sold at Cory Vines are made from a technically innovative soft and stetchy fabric, that’s designed to be ideal for sweating in. They claim: “Once you start wearing fabrics that stretch like this, it’s addictive.”
Every month they’ll offer a small selection of simple products that don’t have giant labels a la Nike, and don’t have giant price tags a la Lululemon.
It’s a great idea. Usually, gymwear shoppers struggle with their priorities: quality fabrics and affordable leggings don’t usually go hand in hand. But since Cory Vines deals exclusively with e-commerce, they don’t have the same prices that companies with large storefronts require. And as the companies founder notes:
The Gen Y-ers today, we think, want something simple and minimalistic, not something over-branded with a big Nike check across their chest.
Browsing through the current selection of Cory Vines’s $20 shirts and $40 leggings, we’re indeed loving the simple aesthetic and variety of colors. We also appreciate that the yoga pants don’t seem as see-through as the ones sometimes found at Lululemon.
