Luxury Consignment Store Recreates SATC Closets

Envision yourself walking into a 300 square foot closet. The walk-in is carpeted and well lit, filled to the brim with Lanvin, Chanel, and Margiela, and features a shoe collection that would make even Imelda Marcos jealous.

If what you’re picturing is mind-blowing, well, that’s because this imaginary closet isn’t far off from what you’d get if you combined Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda‘s Sex and The City wardrobes. When the four women join forces on the streets of Manhattan, heads turn due to their sartorial choices. The thought of their wardrobes being combined in one singular closet? Well, it would be designer stimulation overdrive.

Nevertheless, DecadesTwo, the famed California consignment store, has attempted to combine the ladies’ closets in celebration of the second installment of the Sex and the City series. With the help of HauteLook, DecadesTwo has set up a New York pop-up shop staged in a four-bedroom apartment, with handpicked clothing inspired by each character.

“We’re doing a guerrilla ‘Sex and the City’ promotion,” Christos Garkinos from DecadesTwo told StyleList. “We had four bedrooms, so we thought why not?”

Each girl has her own rack, with the exception of Carrie who was given an entire room and bathroom for her YSL and Dolce & Gabbana. And while the sale may be compiled of gently used clothes rather than fresh-out-the-box garments, we’re sure none of you will have a problem snagging some of your favorite characters’ looks for less than full price.

Entry to the sale is simple: follow Decadestwo on Twitter or email decadestwoandthecity@gmail.com for details. Unfortunately, Big and Aiden look-a-likes will not be present.
