The Ultimate NYC Neighborhood Guide To Fashion’s Night Out
The countdown is on for
Fashion’s Night Out, and with more than 700 retailers keeping their doors open late tomorrow evening, it can be a little tough to navigate all of the deals. Luckily, we’ve divided the best of the bunch into three major shopping ‘hoods: Meatpacking District, Soho, and Midtown/Upper East Side, so you can plan your night of boozing, celeb-spotting, and retail accordingly.
Find out where you can go to see
Azealia Banks perform live, where you can get a free blowout, and, best of all, where you can go to meet us! All in the slideshow below:
1.Denim Habit - Meatpacking District
Where: 346 West 14th Street (at 9th Ave.)
Why: We'll be there! Come stop by and say hi!
2.Diane von Furstenberg - Meatpacking District
Where: 874 Washington St. (at 14th St.)
Girls star Alison Williams is hosting, and DvF herself will be on hand to give styling advice while you shop (and dance!) to the musical stylings of Solange Knowles. Do we really need to go on?
3.Scoop and AG Adriano Golschmeid - Meatpacking District
Where: 875 Washington Street (at 14th St.)
Why: Because who doesn't love block parties?! Plus, with music by St. Lucia, an appearance by Zac Posen, and tequila a' flowing, there's something to please everyone.
4.Intermix - Meatpacking District
Where: 812 Washington St. (at Gansevoort)
Why: Jam to The Knocks while getting a complimentary makeover from the lovely folks at Benefit cosmetics.
5.Paige Denim - SoHo
Where: 71 Mercer Street (between Spring and Broome)
Why: Leandra Medine (a.k.a. "The Man Repeller") has designed the windows -- and will be there from 6 to 7PM. Upload a photo of you with your favorite pair of Paige denim jeans onto instagram or twitter and use the hashtag #UNIQUELYPAIGE, and TMR will handpick one winner for a free pair of jeans and a feature on her blog.
6.Lacoste - Soho
Where: 541 Broadway (between Prince and Spring St.)
Why: Hang with one of our favorite editors around —
Paper magazine's Mickey Boardman! Plus, buy a polo or two (one of those FNO-friendly garment that you don't really need to try on) and get a free iPhone case.
7.Blow - Meatpacking District
Where: 342 West 14th (between 8th Avenue & 9th Avenue)
Why: Complimentary dry styles by blow style experts and free full-size bottles of Time To Shine!
8.Stuart Weitzman - Midtown/Upper East Side
Where: 625 Madison Ave. (at 59th St.)
Why: The ever-lovely Petra Nemcova will be present, as well as the celebrated shoe designer himself.
9.Juicy Couture - Midtown
Where: 650 Fifth Avenue (at 52nd St.)
Why: Karlie Kloss! (Related: our
auto-reblog Tumblr policy.)
10.Bergdorf Goodman - Midtown/Upper East Side
Where: 5th Avenue and 58th Street
Why: It's the iconic department store's 111th birthday! On hand to celebrate will be industry faves like Bobbi Brown, Edward Bess, Lela Rose, Michael Bastian, Naeem Khan, Rachel Zoe, and Thakoon Panichgul, as well as in-house astrologers and music courtesy of Lady Bunny and the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn.
11.DKNY - Midtown/Upper East Side
Where: 655 Madison Ave. (between 60 and 61 St.)
Why: In store greeting shoppers will be Donna Karan and Patrick McMullan...plus some of the hunky firefighters the photog shot for this year's "Calendar of Heroes." Bonus? All proceeds from the night go to the FDNY Foundation.
12.David Yurman - Midtown/Upper East Side
Where: 712 Madison Avenue (at 63rd St.)
Why: Because baubles and beverages (by Belvedere and Hennessey!) are always a winning combination.
