Times Square’s Gargantuan Forever 21 Is Open!
Talk about an early celebration! Just around the time most people settle into their offices, employees and onlookers at the Forever 21 Time Square mega store anxiously surrounded the ribbon ceremony for today’s grand opening. Documenting the big moment is none other than the trendy chain store’s summer muse and Fashion Toast blogger Rumi Neely!
Before 10 a.m., we received a TwitPic update on our newsfeed from the Californian beauty, in which she captured everyone involved in the planning leading up to this day. What was more toast-worthy, and we don’t mean to jest, was the evidence of racks, wall scrolls, and most importantly, clothing that just days before were nowhere in sight.
The colossus of all Forever 21 store, located at the former Virgin Megastore, is in fact the largest one in New York to date. (There are two even larger stores in the great state of California.) With 151 fitting rooms, 32 cash registers, and 500 employees running around to assist the frenzied customers, you can imagine it’s a field day for security. It is certainly worth a visit as the store is also home to a New York City-themed design, representing all five boroughs throughout the four floors. And get this, the store can cater to your morning-after or late night blunders as its operating hours are a generous 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
One word: wow.
