Gossip Girl Cast Inspires Window Displays

Gossip Girl and fashion go hand in hand. Not an episode goes by without drooling over one of Blaire’s parisian-chic coats or Serena’s sexy couture minis. Eric Daman, Gossip Girl costume designer and author of style book You Know You Want It, has made the show a fashion hit.
The cast has influenced the way viewers dress and even given designers an idea or two (remember Anna Sui’s Gossip Girl-inspired collection for Target?) Now, designer Matthew Williamson wants in on the gossip.
Williamson has recently teamed up with Eric Daman to create Gossip Girl-themed windows at their store in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The windows will be staged according to the plot line of the next episode, airing April 5th, which features Blair Waldorf shopping and wearing a Matthew Williamson silk halter dress (apparently something of the “creamy draped chiffon” persuasion, according to what Daman told WWD).
The windows will also feature “a Waldorf-esque brunette mannequin clad in the same Williamson dress alongside foreshadowing signs that read ‘What Did Chuck Do?’ and ‘Tune In.’”
Williamson and Gossip Girl are a perfect duo if you ask us. Williamson’s use of vibrant colors and classy sex appeal epitomize how Daman dresses his Manhattan socialites in the series. And we can definitely see Lily Bass in a Matthew Williamson for Swarovski Atelier cuff. Can’t you?
