Jimmy Choo ‘Icon’ Collection Includes Sex And The City Shoe

Happy 15th birthday, Jimmy Choo! To celebrate, the brand is issuing an “icon” collection comprised of 15 of its most memorable shoe styles from the past decade and a half.

Choo designer Tamara Mellon explained her motivation for the collection: “These are shoes that have a personal story for me or resonate with the customer.” Some of these legends will be rereleased according to their original designs, while others will be slightly revamped. If you can’t wait to get your hands on a pair, we have some retail details. The shoes will cost between $850 and $3,785, and will be available exclusively at Jimmy Choo stores.

The company will be donating 10% of the collection’s net sales to the Jimmy Choo Foundation, which will put the money towards women’s charities. Leave it to Mellon to make the best of a fab situation by using the collection to reach out to women in need: “I want to tackle tough issues such as sexism, unequal pay, domestic violence and the sex slave trade.”

The shoe styles of the capsule collection are hush-hush, but we do know what two of them will be! The first – the one that we’re most excited about – is the Feather, that fabulous footwear that Sarah Jessica Parker (well, Carrie Bradshaw) loses on an episode of Sex and the City.
