Why Yes, Kris Jenner Is Getting Her Own Clothing Line
Kris Jenner, the woman you can hold directly responsible for everything Kim Kardashian-related, is finally wading into the pool of celebrity clothing lines with the Kris Jenner Kollection (with a K!) for QVC.
The matriarch of reality TV’s most ubiquitous dynastic reign will debut the line on Sept. 8, the first day of New York Fashion Week. Women’s Wear Daily, which got a sneak peek at the clothes at Jenner’s California home, reports that a clothing line is something Jenner has always wanted to do. At 55, Jenner says she knows what women want, so her line is filled with items she calls “easy, with a few pieces thrown in for night and cocktail because every girl needs something to go out in.”
Prices range from $35 for t-shirts to $140 for outerwear and “embellished dresses.” But for the most part (and here we’re going to give Jenner some credit) the line seems to be filled with the kinds of basics that, well, women actually buy. There’s a fairly basic trench coat, a long-sleeved printed dress and a pair of leggings that we might actually consider buying if we had time to sit in front of a television and give our credit card numbers to the strangers at QVC’s call center. But we don’t. It’s fashion week.
Five pieces will launch next month, and the line will be filled out with more pieces in October. And if Jenner has anything to say about it, she’s not doing creating product yet.
“I think to be designing clothes and to expand that into home and children and jewelry and accessories…that’s where I see us going, to a place where we can keep evolving as designers and giving people a little of our own personalities. All our lines combined hit every age demographic and body type. It’s a great one-stop shop.”

kollection collection, and thank your lucky stars that she doesn’t have her heart set on a music career.
