Gilt Groupe Is Holding A Special Two-Day Lady Gaga Sale

Lady Gaga‘s album Born This Way is being released in a little over a week, and she’s really trying to harness the power of the internet. First she announced her seemingly odd union with FarmVille, but her most recent digital partnership makes a lot more sense: Gilt Groupe will be hosting a special two-day sale for the pop superstar.

Accordingly to Hollywood Life, “the two-day flash sale will feature looks from cutting edge designers, inspired by Lady Gaga’s most memorable get-ups.” Gaga’s style guru Nicola Formichetti is curating the sale — there is both a men’s and women’s component — and is said to be including actual items from some of her videos. Concert tickets and an album download will also be sold. Personally, we’d really like to purchase a lipstick gun.

The sale is going down the week the album drops (May 23, you guys!), and we think this is actually pretty brilliant. Gaga is known just as much (if not more) for her outrageous style as she is for her music. And we have to imagine plenty of Little Monsters will jump at the chance to be like Gags. This is also a smart move for Gilt, who is looking to move beyond the discount arena. Basically, well-played, all. We’ll certainly be logging on to check it out.
