Lanvin For H&M Launches Next Month, Clothes Still A Mystery
It was just over a month ago when Lanvin for H&M furor overtook the front pages of Styleite and most other fashion news sites, and now details about everything from the clothes to the ad campaign are finding their ways onto webpages from Turkey to right here in the United States.
ZET Fashion, a Turkish style blog, won a contest to be the only blog to post an exclusive trailer of the Lanvin for H&M fashion show, which Leigh Lazark stars in. You can watch the video, which went live last week, here. The company posted a behind-the-scenes video of Natasha Poly on the set of a short film that features the clothes about a month ago.
Poly says the clothes are super high quality and very luxe, mentioning that the fabric is amazing. That’s going to be a key thing that sets this collaboration apart from other designer tie-ins: Alber Elbaz could make a gorgeous gown out of tissue paper, but if he used the good stuff to make these clothes, then shoppers will get the added value of the clothes lasting a longer time than most clothes you get from H&M. Elle‘s fashion blog reports that both Poly and Lazark will be featured in the ad campaign, and that so far they’ve heard tulle skirts, t-shirts and printed dresses mentioned as possible pieces. No word yet on what the men’s side of the store will feature.
And while it doesn’t sound all that revolutionary, we’re still waiting on pins and needles for what we know will be a beautiful collection to hit stores. The Lanvin for H&M fashion show will be broadcast on the company’s website on Nov. 8. The collection’s tentative launch date is Nov. 20.
