Lindsay Lohan Expands 6126 Into Full-Fledged Clothing Line
Lindsay Lohan’s reputation recently took a turn for the even worse, after falling down outside of both a nightclub and a friend’s house party, and sporting cocaine-laced shoes. But let’s be honest –- these faux-pas moments are quite common for the stumble-prone starlet.
Last year, Lindsay joined the fashion world as the artistic designer for Emanuel Ungaro. Not surprisingly (as it was, after all, designed by LiLo), the Spring / Summer 2010 collection caused quite a stir for the guests. Between the scandalously short mini-dresses and tacky heart-shaped glittery pasties, the entire fashion world wondered: what was she thinking? Catastrophic reviews obviously made Ungaro president Mounir Moufarrige rethink Lindsay’s involvement in the company.
So, after her disastrous fashion debut, we were surprised to hear that Lindsay is preparing to expand her legging-only line, 6126. While the collection will still focus mainly on leggings, the Los Angeles Times reports that 6126 will now feature mini-dresses, sequined-hoodies, and oversized-cardigans. Priced from $60-$1000, the collection is set to hit stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Ron Herman in July, says LiLo’s PR rep.
Stars like Jessica Simpson, Milla Jovovich, Elle Macpherson, and Jennifer Lopez have all seen major monetary success regardless of their design aesthetic and/or ability. Considering that LiLo can’t book an acting role to save her life, we can’t help but think that focusing on 6126 is a smart move for the star. What about you?
