Marc Jacobs, Now With Playboy Bunnies
Nobody wants to be the last person to wish Hugh Hefner a happy birthday, so Marc Jacobs is devoting an entire store window to the Playboy founder in advance of his big 85.
Jacobs is now selling a t-shirt featuring the iconic Playboy bunny logo with the text “Cheers Big Ears!” He’s also devoted a window of his Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique in New York’s West Village to the shirt. It’s inspired by Hugh Hefner’s Playboy, 6 Volumes and will play host to two real live Playboy Bunnies from Friday through the end of Fashion Week. You can buy the book at Jacobs’ Bookmarc store, also on Bleeker, but the bunnies, of course, aren’t for sale.
A tweet from @MarcJacobsIntl proclaimed that the bunnies are indeed “Real Playboy Bunnies.” We wouldn’t put it past this company, which has featured plenty of naked people on its clothing, to put two semi-naked ladies behind a piece of glass for a week. We also wouldn’t put it past them to have flown in rabbits from Hef’s petting zoo for a New York getaway.
