Romanian Cobbler Designs 12-Inch Stiletto

Mihai Albu is a former architect turned cobbler who is revolutionizing the heels (and height!) of women in his native Romania. According to the AP, Albu blends math, art, and architecture in his designs, which run up to 1200 Euros, or $1525.

Albu has designed shoes with three heels (two of which are decorative, of course), a pair of boots that resemble glass vases, and “unicorn-like” boots with a heel in the front. And his latest design has managed to outdo all of these. Topping out at 12.2 inches, the shoes are actually three sandals stacked on top of one another.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Albu is known as the Shoe Architect. While we can’t imagine walking in any of these creations, we’re the first to admit that they’re certainly fun to look at.
