Good News: You May Still Get Your Missoni For Target Order… For Free!

For those of you who had written off Target’s Missoni collection as one of the most poorly executed collaborations of all time, there’s good news ahead! Those long forsaken orders may in fact get filled — and for free!

A tipster told New York Magazine that he’d received an email from Target informing him that his previously cancelled order would, in fact, be shipped.

Thank you for your patience and continued support with regard to your Missoni for Target order. Your Missoni item(s) have now shipped and we want to let you know that you will not be invoiced for the item(s) listed below.

If you do not wish to keep the below item(s) please donate them to a local charity or shelter of your choice rather than returning them to Target.

Let’s not forget that those “cancelled” orders also came with $25 gift cards. And according to the Star Tribune, this isn’t a one-time thing. They report:

Target spokesman Lee Henderson said that Target is in the process of filling online orders for the Missoni collection, so additional inventory is being made available. “A limited number of items are expected to become available throughout the next few weeks,” he wrote in an email.

Have you received any word about your orders? Do you even want the items any more? And finally, does getting them for free undo all the frustration in the first place?

I was part of this miserable zig-zag debacle and I have returned every single piece that Target finally did ship to me.  I did this purely on principle and because I was so pissed off!!!  When I returned two dresses and two pairs of tights last night (yes, despite 2 1/2 hours on the phone and several unreturned emails, they are still shipping me this junk), the customer service rep turned to her co-worker and said, “I zero these out as damaged because they’re no longer in our inventory, right?”  That’s why Target has been reduced to giving this stuff away.  People like me are so pissed off that we keep returning it!!

Gah, why so many women, went nutso over such butt ugly clothing & accessories, is a mystery.  The zig zag pattern was one of the ugliest to appear in the 70′s & it’s just as ugly now.

The old saying, “there’s a sucker born every minute”, is spot on with Missoni. They throw out the ugliest looking clothing they can think of to the public, and bingo, the suckers swarm for the crap like flies to dead meat.

I so regret not ordering that throw!
