FIRST LOOK: Balmain’s New Diffusion Line Starts At $172 For A T-Shirt
Balmain‘s lower end line Pierre Balmain is arriving in December, and we have all the details!
As we first heard, there will be both men’s and women’s offerings, and this “more casual and relaxed” line will be priced from about $172 (for a T-shirt) to $1,291 (for an evening gown). And there will be jeans! And sweaters! The brand is going full-force with this effort, hoping to have the the label reach 700 stores across the globe. They also anticipate opening up Pierre Balmain boutiques in Paris, Milan, Rome, and Hong Kong in time for the end-of-year launch.
FYI, Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing won’t have much of a hand in the new venture — Pierre Balmain is getting a separate design team, while Rousteing will work solely on Balmain.
