‘Twilight’-Inspired Clothing Line Is Actually Kinda Cute

We normally try to stay away from movie tie-in clothing. Not because we wouldn’t proudly wear our Shrek 2 promotional t-shirts in public, but because the duds produced to increase a movie’s merchandise sales generally aren’t that high quality or fashionable.
But, if we’re being honest, the clothes inspired by the upcoming Twilight: Eclipse movie are actually pretty wearable. A line of t-shirts, dresses, beauty products and life-sized cardboard cutouts of Jacob and Edward is available in Nordstrom stores today. When we reported on the line last month, we kinda thought there would be a big dividing line between the Team Jacob and the Team Edward camps, but it turns out not all of the garments take a partisan stance. The collection’s high points are its dresses, a pair of stretch-denim leggings and a screen-printed v-neck t-shirt depicting the moon rising over the forest.
The collection ranges from $30 to $58 (those leggings are its most expensive piece), a small price to pay to declare one’s love for either Camp Cullen or the Black Squad — or to look a little more like Bella at the movie’s premiere on June 30.
