Target Bringing Back Greatest Hits In Encore Collection!

We happen to think Target diffusion lines are really, really amazing. Not only does Target generally price things appropriately — they also have the sickest collaborations. And this is why the announcement of their Designer Collective project is the best news we’ve heard all week.

In celebration of GO International‘s fifth birthday, Target is reissuing 34 pieces from the 17 designers who they’ve collaborated with over the years. The only designer to decline was Patrick Robinson, citing “other commitments” — yeah, things are kind of a mess over at Gap. The collection will be sold in stores (and online) March 13 through April 10.

The roster is impressive — Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Thakoon — but don’t expect to snag pieces from Alexander McQueen or Jean Paul Gaultier. Go International spotlights up-and-coming designers, whereas their Target collections were part of the Designer Collaborations line.

Check out our slideshow of looks from the 17 original collections. What are you lusting for?

I was quite interested in seeing the “fashions” but every time I tried to click on one I got a large PERFUME
ad and did not have time to wait to see it leave since there was NO DELETE BUTTON.
