Still Want Versace For H&M? It’s Getting Returned To Stores

Photo via Fashion Herald

If you were one of the unfortunate few who walked out of the Versace for H&M sale last month empty handed, you just might be in luck. Enough people have returned pieces of the collection to H&M that some stores actually have small sections of the stuff waiting for people to snatch it up.

Our friends at Fashionista report that two stores here in New York City have a noticeable amount of the collection back in stock: the 86th street store has what Madison Avenue Spy refers to as a “more than a small bin of returns,” while Fashion Herald noticed that the 34th Street store on 7th Avenue has a lot of shoes, pink handbags, dresses and skirts still hanging around the women’s section. Unfortunately, both locations are plumb out of leggings and tops.

Still, we don’t think people who pored over images of the collecion for weeks beforehand and then waited in line for hours and then had to fight their way past weaker, slower shoppers to get what they wanted would make all that many returns — or at least not enough for there to be literal sections of the stuff at some of the most well-trafficked H&M stores in the city. We’d be willing to bet that since the returns are falling into a few categories, they’re coming from people who couldn’t unload the stuff on eBay.

But that’s just in our neighborhood. Have you seen any lingering Versace collaboration pieces at your local H&M? Let us know in the comments!

Around here none of the leathers were returned (or if they were, they were grabbed by others very, very quickly).  The only returns/unsold items I saw were the bright/multicoloured pieces (i.e. Miami prints).

The returns are flooding in to H&M stores and yet the prices for the collection are soaring in eBay! Next up … Marni for H&M and a Spring collection by Versace. The real question is: will the Tom Ford for H&M collection that was rumored to be the next collaboration actually happen? We don’t think so! http://www.fashion-law.org

There’s a decent size of Versace for H&M hanging in the Columbus, OH store from returns.  Honestly, the clothes didn’t fit the way they should have…Lanvin was better. http://www.nubry.com

There’s also some at the 59th and Lex store in Midtown East.
