Victoria’s Secret Is That Bedbugs Love Scantily-Clad Models
The mind of a NYC bedbug slowly reveals itself with each news bite we receive. We have come to the conclusion that these elusive beings do have taste — though it’s certainly shallow. The bugs made their first pilgrimage to the Hollister flagship store in SoHo to wreak havoc on the employees in early July, then they scurried on over to Abercrombie and Fitch’s South Street Seaport locale. And now they’re back for more hot bods! Our favorite bed monsters recently found some solace on a pair of angel wings and in wonder bras at the Victoria’s Secret on Lexington Avenue and East 58th Street.
According to a spokesperson of the store’s parent company, the lingerie store reacted swiftly to its ”small and isolated” infestation Wednesday morning by clearing out and destroying all affected merchandise. After the outbreak was treated, the store reopened later that day. In fear that the bug pack divided themselves among the brand’s other NYC locations, many of the Manhattan locations will be tested for bedbugs as well.
Is this a pattern we sense? Well let’s see: body-conscious articles of clothing, a store-branded fragrance collection, booming stereo systems, and wall scrolls of barely discreet models. Yes, these bedbugs are shopaholic teenagers in disguse.
