Speaking chic, Wal-Mart has never earned top billing among tastemakers. Sure it’s fine for off-market essentials like socks, but it’s probably not the sort of plastic bag you’d be seen toting around with gusto – for risk of cancer alone!

Carcinogenic collaborations aside, we entreat you to reconsider, because after cruising the aisles we happened upon some decidedly non-toxic and surprising stylish wares. From one shouldered suits by famed designer Norma Kamali — we were shocked too! — to essential oxfords (don’t be afraid to cruise the little boy’s section) and a pair of classic white plimsolls, turns out you can totally have a ball at the Wal!
