WINDOW SHOPPING: L’Wren Scott Sequin Cocktail Dress, $1,267

New Year’s Eve is one of our favorite nights of the year for dressing up. Why? One word: SEQUINS. Our one criterion for an NYE ensemble is that there must be sequins, sequins, sequins, and this incredible dress by L’Wren Scott perfectly fits the bill. Or it would, if the bill we got after purchasing wouldn’t be $1,267.

We’ve seen (and worn) many a sequin cocktail dress before, and while they’re never boring, a solid-colored minidress covered in sequins can look a little bit cliché. But the ombré pattern on this one, which fades from a rose gold to a true gold color, makes it really special. And guess what?! IT’S ON SALE! (Marked down from a cool $4,223.)
