Every year at Cannes, stars take a break from fêting films to get serious (well, and keep partying) at the Cinema Against Aids Gala to benefit amfAR. Featuring a curated runway show by ex Vogue EIC Carine Roitfeld, the show is a celebration of fashion and luxury, that provides a pretty big pay-out to the cause.
It’s no wonder that known philanthropists like Leonardo DiCaprio and Sharon Stone were in attendance this year. But aside from the one fan who reportedly paid over $1.5 million for the chance to fly to space with Leo, the crowd was there to see all manner of gilded get-ups tromp the runway.
The Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show was live streamed exclusively on LoveGold.com yesterday, but if you missed it, see the it in all its bedazzled glory below. Karlie Kloss high-fived her way down the runway in Pucci, and other catwalkers like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio and Roitfeld’s daughter, Julia Restoin Roitfeld were among the lucky ladies who wore hand-selected sparkling garb by some of the biggest names in the game.
We don’t want to play favorites, but we keep coming back to the male model in a midriff top by Thom Browne. See the whole runway in the gallery below, and let us know which look you love the most.
Next, see the all-black show Roitfeld put on last year.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
