Who Are This Year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists?
We may have some thoughts about Anna Wintour‘s boots, but the woman has done a whole lot of good for the fashion community. One of our favorite Wintour initiatives is the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, now in its eighth year.
The Fund seeks to recognize emerging American fashion talent. As part of the competition, finalists undergo collection reviews and interviews with a committee that includes industry heavyweights like Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, and Jenna Lyons. The next step involves a special design project, as well as a fashion show in LA. Following all of this, the winners are announced in a ceremony in November; last year’s winner was Billy Reid, while Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo were the runners-up.
