NYFW: Donna Karan Sent Civilians down the DKNY Runway

The mystery of Hannah Bronfman’s nails has been solved. A protozoan could’ve figured out by looking at the entrepreneur/health nut/Brendan Fallis paramour’s manicure that she was somehow involved with DKNY, but rather than simply DJ-ing a party for the brand, she took a turn on the runway today — in a baseball cap and claret fur gilet, no less.

For her Fall 2014 show, Donna Karan also enlisted normal-ish person Chelsea Leyland, who walked alongside veterans such as Soo Joo Park, Sam Rollinson, Eliza Cummings, and Andrej “Back from the Dead” Pejic. Professionals and amateurs alike were on MUA artist duty, according to Teen Vogue — everyone was allowed to choose his/her own face paint.

Judging by the photos, the first-timers more than pulled their own weight. But don’t take our word for it — see some of our favorite looks (and newborn catwalkers) below.
