Elie Tahari took his fall clothes and arranged them into a simple presentation at Lincoln Center on Wednesday night. First there were black clothes, then white. Then came frocks and coats in cream, then brown, and finally, a visually appealing shade of deep red.
But Tahari’s clothes weren’t stark or bare bones. They were rich and detailed and sharply tailored. A crisp white suit was shown with a white fur stole, and it was followed up with a white shirt bedecked with layers and layers of feathers. Tahari’s wide leg pants paired well with chunky sweaters and structured blazers, and his many iterations of leopard print were all equally luxe. Some of our favorite looks from the show, below.
