Giles Deacon is making all sorts of noise lately. First he had a ridiculously impressive roster of supermodels (including Verushka!) stomp the runway at his eponymous show during London Fashion Week. Then it came out that he designed Katy Perry‘s too-sexy-for-Sesame frock. Now Deacon is making some waves over at Emanuel Ungaro, where he presented his first collection for the brand after Lindsay Lohan‘s disastrous run.
Presented on a wacky set — a pile of flower-filled cars on top of a patch of grass with humongous floral butterflies attached — the collection drew heavily from the Ungaro archives with lots of pastels, lace and appliques. The whole presentation felt theatrical, which is appropriate given the ultra-fab Anna dello Russo modeled in the show. The best part? She held a stuffed lamb the entire time. BRILLIANT.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
