Jeremy Scott is as known for his fashion as he is known for his fashion statements, and Wednesday’s Spring / Summer 2011 collection was no exception. While last season Scott dedicated his show to Fashion (with a capital tongue-in-cheek ‘F’), his past shows have included commentary on religion and politics. We’re gonna go out on a limb here and guess that this season’s topic of choice was relationships or, perhaps more specifically, sex. Also, Kanye West was there!
West wore a bright pink blazer which made him easy to spot, but try as we might, we couldn’t get even the teensiest glimpse of his diamond teefers. (And we even rode up in the same elevator! He was mouth closed, eyes straight ahead the whole way.)
Kelly Osbourne and Solange Knowles were both wearing Scott, while Terrence Koh was perched front row in an all-white, painter’s suit ensemble, complete with sunglasses.
Set to a soundtrack of The Ramones, Jeremy walked the following designs down the runway: a meat dress made of (fake) prosciutto, a straitjacket-cum-wedding dress, no shortage of male models in assless chaps (though they were wearing undies), a dress of crushed beer cans, and a few high-fashion examples of trashbag couture.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
