Kenzo is Officially in the Running for PFW’s Wettest Show

Rick Owens might’ve clinched first prize with his troupe of step dancers, but odds are Kenzo won’t be going home empty-handed after such a splashy (pun so intended) Spring 2014 showing.

There was clearly an aquatic theme going on — goggle sunglasses, just-out-of-the-pool hair and a shirt that literally read “No fish, no nothing” — which was echoed by the tiled floor and the water-filled urns that pulsated in time with the music. For the heavily videotaped finale, the models arranged themselves behind a sheet of rain pouring from the ceiling, which you can witness below from three different perspectives.

Surprised and delighted doesn’t even begin to cover it, and we weren’t even there. We might just have a thing for live performances and novelty though, but really — who doesn’t?

Bless you, Carol and Humberto. And Rick too, for that matter.
