Model Accidentally Spills Just How Much That Louis Vuitton Train Cost

Well, isn’t this a juicy little item.

Every week WWD chats with an up-and-coming model for it’s “Model Call” column. Sometimes the interviews are boring, and sometimes models say things they shouldn’t. Today’s piece involves the latter. Here’s the delicious bit of knowledge unintentionally dropped by 21-year-old Kel Markey:

So what was the highlight of your runway season?
It’s hard to choose! Walking for Proenza was such an amazing moment. When the music started and I was about to walk out, that was the first time I was like, “Holy s–t, this is incredible.” Also, the Louis Vuitton show blew me away. I heard the train cost $8 million [Vuitton declined to comment on the cost]. And it was so beautiful inside. You think they’d do bare-bones since only us models would see it, but it was really nice upholstery and luggage racks and all this beautiful wood paneling. I guess when Marc does things, he does them perfectly.

An $8 million dollar train, you say? Of course, we’d love to know how much Markey got paid to walk in the Vuitton show.
