FLASH FASHION: High Drama On Display At Marchesa

We can always count on Marchesa for a healthy dose of delicious decadence, and Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig‘s spring/summer 2011 certainly does not disappoint. Lace, beading, grand flourishes — the collection is nothing short of sumptuous.

Gowns that just ache to be worn to the Met Ball (like the hand-painted silk tulle one whose skirt can’t even fit in the pic we pulled) stood out, as did shorter dresses with sculptural details. And we really, really loved the sexy black lace jumpsuit that managed to read as artful instead of skanky.
