PHOTOS: Miranda Kerr Walks Paris Runway 5 Months Pregnant

Balenciaga debuted a punktastic Spring 2011 collection in Paris on Wednesday, featuring bare-faced models in minimalist variations on houndstooth. And while the looks were eye-catching, the models stole the show. A five-months pregnant Miranda Kerr walked the runway with a veritable army of supermodels, including Amber Valetta, Carolyn Murphy, Stella Tennant, and Gisele Bundchen — who closed the show.

The supers were also joined by a fair amount of younger, if no less famous faces such as Chanel Iman, Freja Beha Erichsen, and model-of-the-moment Lindsey Wixson.

Kerr isn’t the first model to walk the runway with a bun in the oven. Last year, Jean-Paul Gaultier featured a very pregnant Jourdan Dunn in his Spring 2010 show.

I think it’s great that she walked pregnant. Why not? For reality’s sake let’s not forget that unless the clothes are fit for you personally, you could not wear it 5 months pregnant—unless you were super tall and skinny. It’s not the fact that you gain weight, but your hips widen and your body shape changes. In principal, pregnant women can do anything a non-pregnant woman can and she looks beautiful.

I agree Lisa, she looks great and at the same time proves that being pregnant is no handicap.
