NSFW: Designer Sends Naked Models Down Runway In London

Remember how blasé we were about a topless Lily McMenamy walking in Marc Jacobs‘ show last week? Well, British designer Pam Hogg one-upped him with several naked models at her London Fashion Week show.

Hogg, who been in the biz since 1981, showed her fall 2013 collection on Saturday. Some models wore actual garments that covered all their lady bits, while others wore second-skin bodysuits, and the bravest of the brave let it all hang out underneath capes. And when we say “let it all hang out”, we are not joking.

We can’t say that we’re completely surprised by another naked runway from Hogg. For spring 2013, she showed bare butt cheeks on the catwalk, but we’re pretty sure that full-frontal nudity isn’t going to catch on anytime soon. Well, at least we’re hoping it doesn’t.

    One looked like she had a tobaggan on her head, another looked like she was wearing something she was wearing medical waste. If a designer has to go for the shock factor, she obviously isn’t very good. And whats with the blocks on the heads? If anyone bought something from that collection, it only proves the old adage: A fool and his money…

    I can’t help but believe that Pam Hogg is actually conducting a sociological experiment. Something along the lines of “The Emperor Wears No Clothes”. Put naked chicks on the runway wearing boxes on their heads to observe how many people just won’t state the obvious for fear of losing their “artistic/fashion” street cred.
