PHOTOS: Here’s The Lookbook For Rachel Zoe’s First Collection!

With a baby on the way and an upcoming Oscars gigRachel Zoe certainly has her hands full these days. So it’s especially impressive that the super stylist found the time to put together her debut collection in the midst of all the craziness.

We got a hold of her official lookbook, and we’re seriously digging the collection — it’s a perfect manifestation of Zoe’s signature style. There are lustworthy statement jackets, plenty of fur, some sequined pieces (including that infamous dress) and an evening gown or two (there are also quite a few suits in the mix). The pricepoint for the collection falls in the $250 to $700 range.

Check out some of our favorite looks below!

Chanel once said, “The only designer with an original idea also has a very short memory.” Rachel must think we all have a short memory–you can find nearly everything in her collection in someone else’s work. Take a look at Stella McCartney, pre-fall 2010 collection, and you’ll see just how derivative her work is–same thing for nearly all of the other pieces. I’m sure you guys at Styleite can find it all. Don’t you think she met with the design team and a stack of look books with post-its and said–”I’m thinking this would be great and this and with this coat and that dress with this neckline….” Then okay’d the fabric and now you call her a designer? Come on–this is just another celebrity clothing line.

I completely dislike ce;ebrity clothing lines, but Rachel Zoe and her styling has, almost, single-handedly brought 70s style to the mainstream. It’s impressive.
