FLASH FASHION: Flowy Minimalism Reigns At Richard Chai

We love fashion, but we know not everybody has the time to scroll through every look in a runway show. Consider this your Cliff Notes to New York Fashion Week. First up: Richard Chai Love’s Spring Summer 2011.

Richard Chai‘s women’s collection for Spring Summer 2011 strayed a little minimal, and we don’t mind that at all. Instead of the multicolored prints and the high contrast stripes he favored in his last spring set, Chai brought the focus back to shape and color. His signature moves remain — the slouchiness and the wearability are still there — expressed in different fabrics. One thing we noted and appreciated is the wideness of trouser legs. Could skinny pants finally have a rival? Only time — and sales — will tell.
