When we think turbans, we think Prada. (We also think Sultan from Aladdin, but that’s beside the point.) When models paraded down Prada’s spring summer 2007 runway in the Eastern-inspired headgear, they set off a virtual turban flurry that quickly subsided. But alas! The turban is back in action!
We noticed tons of women in turbans during New York Fashion Week, and it looks like the trend has made its way across the Atlantic. Today Salma Hayek showed up to Stella McCartney‘s show in Paris donning a gray printed turban. Not that Prada has an official monopoly on turbans, but it’s interesting to note that Hayek is married to PPR exec Francois-Henri Pinault and attended a PPR brand’s show (Stella McCartney is part of PPR’s Gucci Group) while wearing something that heavily references privately-owned Prada.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
