Are Short-Shorts Summer’s Hottest Pants?

Short shorts, hot pants, whatever you call them — seems like lately ladies everywhere are feeling super cheeky. Obviously we don’t need to tell you shorts are huge right now — its summer. But, we have been noting a boatload of girls wearing shorts so short that that they leave little to the imagination. We’re talking, Jane Fonda, Farrah Fawcet, bum-partially-exposed-for-the-world-to-see type deal.

In all honesty, we’re on the fence about this one. On the one hand, they can look cute and as photo-blogger Garance Dore points out, virtually guarantee a double take (and possibly a whistle.) On the other, visible cheek-age has a little too much in common with lower back tattoos, Dov Charney, and spaghetti strap tank tops. And the winner is: Gisele. But if you’re not Gisele, try following in the footsteps of Baby Blues and Kick-Ass Khaki. Or, better yet, don’t try it at all.
