10 Michelle Obama-Worthy Pieces From Tracy Reese’s Spring Show

Tracy Reese is having a good week. On Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama wore one of her creations to give her powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention and yesterday the designer showed her spring collection to an enthusiastic crowd at Lincoln Center.

It was a fun, spirited outing in a palette of grass greens, tangerines, and violets, and although the front row was more Beverly Hills than Capitol Hill (think Shenae Grimes and Lauren Conrad) and the line was heavy on the sporty separates rather than Michelle’s favored dresses, there were still a smattering of pieces on the catwalk that we could most definitely see MObama rocking.

Gotta give the copywriters a chance to invoke "the right to bare arms" for the millionth time, after all.

2.The jacket

A funky piece to brighten up a neutral J.Crew shift, perhaps?

3.The shorts

We know she likes them!

4.The pants

Can you think of any other First Lady who could pull these off? Yeah, us neither. But MObama could!

5.The shirt

Tucked-in to a full white skirt for complete garden party effect.

6.The dress

I think we can all agree by now that the First Lady looks fantastic in blue.

7.The pants

What says 'cool mom' more than embellished red pants?

8.The dress

A classic shirtdress revved up with off-kilter stripes.

9.The blouse

This color would look incredible on the FLOTUS, no?

10.The dress

Actually, we'd like to see Malia in this one. Sure, she's pretty preppy, but we secretly hope she's an edgy, downtown chick at heart.

Possibly Michelle Obama could sacrifice and donate some of her wardrobe expenses to those in this nation who can’t afford clothing for their kids.

Down right ugly dresses. Only three worth considering. I sure hope Mrs. Obama has better taste than to wear the majority of these clothes.
