It would feel a little superficial to laud a collection of staple pieces for something other than being entirely necessary in your wardrobe. But if you get them from Twenty8Twelve, the ultra cool line from sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller, maybe — just maybe — it’s OK to brag about who designed them. (If they can get Matthew Williamson to sit next to Jude Law in their front row to look at a bunch of cotton basics, they must be some kind of good.)
Still, we think the duo might have relied too heavily upon their star power for this collection, which mostly featured updated versions of things most women already have in their closets. There was the slinky leopard print dress, the a-line skirt, the man’s shirt worn as a jacket. We were delighted to see that sisters made a pair of shorts with a scalloped hem — with as much 70s inspiration, it was a shape we’d expected to see on a New York runway. More power to the Millers for bringing it to London.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
