Vogue China Proves Professional Can Be Super Sexy

While the Chicago Bar Association may have their ideas about what constitutes proper modes of professional dress, which is to say: nun habits, turtlenecks and ankle-length skirts — we had to object. Not that we’re advocating showing up to work looking like you just rolled out of Tiger Wood’s bed, but we’re pretty sure there’s a middle ground between the Bunny Ranch and the Vatican.

Leave it to Vogue China to read our mind and combine class and sass in successful fashion. Picturing Asian model Liu Wen in looks by Yves Saint Laurent, Donna Karan and Celine, we’re totally loving their urbane take on buttoned up beauty. Think: double breasted blazers, crisp white blouses, cool takes on tailoring and even (gasp!) a slit or two. (Now, what would those married lawyers say?)

But despite the hint of sexiness, the overall effect is polished, modern and super-sophisticated. So, take that Chicago Bar Association, we rule this case clothed.

PS. Estee Lauder has just signed Liu Wen (and Constance Jablonski) to be their global spokesmodels.
