FLASH FASHION: Z Spoke By Zac Posen Makes Runway Debut

In a show marking the end of his exclusive distribution agreement with Saks, Zac Posen‘s Z Spoke line made an effervescent runway debut. The colors were bright, the styling was quirky, and we can’t wait to see the price point. Several pieces incorporated a print made up of a diverse range of faces (vaguely reminiscent of this book we read as kid called People… remember that?), while others featured flirty ruffles. The collection was playful and fun — a perfect tone for the Marc by Marc Jacobs competitor.

The show itself was a bit of a spectacle, with Crystal Renn walking the runway and another model taking a tumble. Russell Simmons and Claire Danes were among the celebs in tow, but Posen explained the show was just for us. Seriously! He told Style.com: “I wanted to create that dialogue with the bloggers and the fans.” Zac likes bloggers? As if we needed another reason to crush on him.
