There’s a huge difference between looking at photos of a runway show and getting your eyes on the clothes in person, and we here at Styleite got that opportunity Tuesday afternoon when we visited Zac Posen‘s studio.
Despite what critics might have said about Posen’s Paris collection, there’s really no getting around how finely crafted his clothes are. We’re still stunned that someone took the time to dye each one of the feathers in Slide 6 by hand and then secured them the the corresponding jacket with three impossibly small beads.
But we didn’t just get to see Posen’s eponymous line — while one half of the studio was focused on his signature glamourous gowns, the other was dominated by his new Z Spoke collection. The diffusion collection comes at a much lower price point than Posen’s other line, but it still shares the same attention to detail and quality that the more expensive clothes are known for. This collection also marks the beginning of new retail relationships for the brand. Previously, you could only buy Posen’s clothes at Saks Fifth Avenue, but with the strong response the line’s representatives have been getting from buyers, there’s no telling where it might turn up next.
