Spears expressed her enthusiasm over the line to Forbes:
“I was so excited when Candie’s asked me to design my very own clothing collection. Designing was a really fun, new way for me to express my creativity and I really wanted to create something by me for my fans. I hope you guys love it.”
Candie’s appears to be just as excited as Ms. Spears is, launching the line two days before its original set date. Along with the campaign’s photo gallery of the pop singer modeling some looks before the surprisingly high-fashion lenses of photographers Annie Leibovitz, Terry Richardson, and Mark Seliger, the website has linked their page to Kohl’s, in which eager customers can now purchase the limited pieces from the look book.
“Designed by me for you,” the campaign proclaims. We’ll leave that tagline alone. But if you’re aching to dress like pop’s most famous and troubled prodigy, thanks to the convenience of the store’s Bonus Buy sale, the affordable collection is a steal with selected pieces priced at just under $20.
