For some reason, we can’t seem to wrap our heads around the fact that some people in the Kardashian family actually work. Too many years of The Hills and The City have inured us to the idea that reality television shows are not real — the jobs included. But it seems like the Kardashians — Khloe and Kourtney, in particular — may be the exception. The latter was spotted in New York’s ultra-expensive Meatpacking District scouting locations for an NYC outpost of their clothing store, Dash.
According to The New York Post, “Kardashian, with her son, Mason, checked out a space on West 14th Street near the Apple store and Abe & Arthur’s.”
While a Kardashian rep told the Post that “though they are always looking… there are no plans at the moment,” we’ll admit — we’re curious. We’ve never stepped foot inside a Dash store, though we do know a little something about their business practices, but they must be doing something right if these stores are successful — and Kris Jenner seems a little too savvy to keep the stores open for the sake of appearances. But how much of the stores’ success comes from the Kardashian name? And how much do New Yorkers, particularly in the not-quite-as-touristy-as-Midtown mecca that is the Meatpacking, care?
Well, that remains to be seen. But consider our interest piqued.
