If you live in New York or follow fashion in any capacity, you’d have to be living under a rock to not know that September 10th marks the second annual Fashion’s Night Out — Anna Wintour‘s all night shopping event celebrating the beginning of Fashion Week, fall fashion, and most importantly, helping out the New York City AIDS fund and the fashion industry at large.
Last year, Anna and her team got together their most fashionable friends for a Public Service Announcement — a call to all New Yorkers that Fashion’s Night Out was where you needed to be. Standing against a stark white backdrop, Sarah Jessica Parker, Vera Wang, and Sean Combs, among others, explained why FNO was so important.
This year, the FNO crew decided to take it out of the studio, and onto the street. Developed by Trey Laird and shot by Peter Lindbergh, this year’s PSA features models Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, among others, all across the city — from the Bronx Zoo to Central Park.
“This year, it was really about fashion hitting the streets. It was important that all of New York City was represented,” Laird told WWD.
See all of your favorite models parade around Manhattan in gorgeous dresses, and of course, this year’s fabulous Fashion’s Night Out t-shirts.
On September 10th, “you’re making more than a purchase,” the models explain. “You’re making a choice to help the whole industry that touches us all.”
